Ron's script was discovered through the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition as a semi-finalist and picked up by New Regency for a full theatrical release across the United States in April 1999. The film features a star-studded ensemble and marked Ron's Hollywood debut as a produced screenwriter.

Shot entirely on location in South Africa. In the middle of the South African desert, six vacationing friends stumble across a dead parachutist carrying $12 million in uncut diamonds. Aired on German television in the summer of 2000.

Ron served as a writer on this action thriller starring screen veterans Danny Trejo and Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul). Theatrically released in 2014.

On Fire

Inspired by true and harrowing events, On Fire tells the story of an ordinary man (Peter Facinelli) who finds his world suddenly torn apart as devastating wildfires rip through the surrounding countryside. With precious moments ticking by, he must flee with his son (Asher Angel) and pregnant wife (Fiona Dourif) if they have any hope of surviving the rapid forces of Mother Nature.
